This conference is organized by the Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg in cooperation with the UNESCO Chair for Cultural Heritage Management and Sustainability, the University of Pannonia, Kőszeg Campus and the Institute for Social and European Studies.

 

In a rapidly changing and uncertain world, it has become increasingly crucial to understand the complexities of our time and envision the best possible scenarios for the future. The 40th Session of the UNESCO General Conference has proclaimed the date of March 14th as International Day of Mathematics to hightlight the important role that Mathematical sciences play in the understanding of major societal and planetary challenges such as climate change, reversing biodiversity loss, counteracting sea level rise, and forecasting population growth worldwide and associated food needs.
